• We have no final plans for another trip.  Landskappleik 2012 is being held in Røros, and some members are thinking of going.

Meetings

• Leikarring:  1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Wednesdays 7:30-9:30: Dance class & performance rehearsals, usually including live music.  Beginners nights are the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, and some of the time is dedicated to the beginners, and to basic skills.  Rehearsals are at the Mountain View Masonic Hall, located at the Corner of Church & Franklin Streets - VIEW MAP
• Leikarring:  5th Wednesday 7:30-9:30: rehearsal or dance party (same location).
• Spelemannslag:  1st Sunday: 3-5pm: Spelemannslag performance group rehearsals. Location: 125 North Mary Ave, Sunnyvale, CA  94086.
• Barneleikarring:  2nd Sundays, 1:30-3:30pm.  Rehearsals at Nordahl Hall, 580 West Parr Ave., Los Gatos

General Information

The Nordahl Grieg Leikarring og Spelemannslag (NGL&S) is a non-profit group incorporated through the Northern California Spelmanslag. NGL&S is dedicated to furthering public appreciation of Norwegian music and dance traditions and comprises three distinct performing entities:

• Leikarring - Norwegian dance group (established in 1984)
• Spelemannslag - Norwegian music ensemble (established in 1992)
• Barneleikarring - Children's group, performing Norwegian dances (established in 1996)
